The CovimBiosampleForm

In order to store also the metadata of all samples in the LaminDB database, please provide your data in an Excel sheet. The template is at the root of the git repository and called CovimBiosampleForm.xlsx.

Using this CovimBiosampleForm for registering metadata of your samples will make sure all the fields can be correctly recognized by LaminDB during ingestion.

Overview

The CovimBiosampleForm.xlsx contains 3 sheets:

1. Biosample: An empty form

2. Columns explained: Detailed explanations of each column

3. Example: example entries of a filled out form

Features

In the Biosample sheet, you will notice the following:

1. When your mouse hovers over the column titles, an info box will show up with explanations of the column.

2. Columns with bold titles are required fields, make sure you provide values for them.

3. All the column names are not mutable.

4. Categorical columns have drop down menus.

5. Certain columns contains value validation, and will show warnings is invalid values are inserted.

6. If a column accepts a list of values, please provide them with newline as the separator.

7. For optional fields, leave empty if unknown.
